Cultivation of psilocybin mushrooms remains a federal offense in the United States. Content is provided for educational, harm-reduction, and research purposes in jurisdictions where such activity is legal.

The CodexSupport

Keep the codex open.

The codex is free to read and always will be. It is not free to run.

psilocybea runs on a thin stack of hosting bills (Vercel, Neon, Cloudflare), a pair of domain renewals, and the time it takes to keep entries accurate, citations current, and the harm-reduction manual honest. No venture capital, no advertising, no data sale. The site is maintained in evenings and weekends by one person and a handful of contributors.

If the codex has been useful to you — as a reference, a grow reference, or a first source for the safety material — you can help keep it growing.

§Other ways to contribute

  • Submit an edit to an existing strain entry. Every approved revision is credited to you in the entry’s Revisions tab.
  • Publish a grow journal — day-by-day field records are the hardest thing to find anywhere, and the most useful to the next cultivator.
  • Share the site with anyone researching psilocybin seriously. A single well-placed mention is worth more than a small donation.

§What we don’t do

  • No display advertising. Banner ads and the networks that serve them prohibit this content anyway; they also wreck the reference-work reading experience.
  • No selling user data. See the privacy notice for the full list of what we do and don’t collect.
  • No paywall on the codex itself. Strain entries, the harm-reduction manual, and community journals are free and always will be.
