    Before

Penis Envy is immediately distinguishable by its dense, phallic morphology: a thick, club-shaped stipe bearing a small, rounded cap that often fails to open fully and retains a persistent partial veil. Colouration is pale tan to cream, bruising deeply blue-green under minimal pressure. Spore production is markedly reduced compared with standard P. cubensis varieties — a trait attributed to the persistent veil — and mature specimens are consequently heavier and denser per unit volume than comparable fruits.
